BOND SUMMARY: Little new to report so far, the Asia-Pac session has been quiet
as the dust settles after yesterday's geopolitics-driven day. Participants
assess the state of U.S.-Iran tensions, as well as softer than expected Chinese
inflation data.
- T-Notes range-bound, last trade +0-03 at 128-27+. Tsy yield curve has bull
flattened a tad. Eurodollars trade 0.5-2.0 tick higher through the reds.
- JGB futures have edged higher in Asia-Pac hours, but still operate -22 ticks
vs. settlement at 151.98. Yields sit higher across a steeper curve. 30-Year JGB
supply is the highlight of the day in Japan.
- Aussie bond futures also respect tight ranges, YM last -2.0 & XM -5.0. Cash
yields last seen 1.8-4.7bp higher, curve runs steeper. Bills sit 1-2 ticks lower
through the reds. The space has shrugged off Australian trade data, with the Nov
surplus proving wider than exp. & the Oct reading revised lower.
