LNG Carrier Approaches Colombia for Cargo Delivery: Platts

The laden Maran Leto LNG carrier is approaching Colombia’s SPEC LNG terminal in Cartagena, according to Platts vessel tracking June 24.

  • The carrier loaded from Sabine Pass on the USGC earlier in June and made a delivery at Jamaica’s Oil Habour import terminal June 22.
  • Platts said that the vessel is carrying the 44 mcm cargo that Calamari LNG, Colombia’s sole LNG importer, awarded in a buy tender to BP, sources told Platts.
  • The Maran Gas Leto is scheduled to deliver a cargo to Argentina’s Escobar terminal on July 11, one of nine cargoes awarded by Enarsa to BP.
  • The Colombian tender which closed earlier this month was the first issued by Calamari in 2024.
  • The previous 39.39 Bcf of LNG Calamari has imported in 2024 to date were via all bilateral deals.
