Japan’s JERA said it does not see any impact from the Gazprombank sanctions because it does not use the bank for payments. 

  • JERA is a major buyer of LNG from Sakhalin-2, with two contracts with the project - for 0.5 million metric tons per annum deal running until 2026, and for 1.5 million metric tons per annum expiring in 2029.
  • JERA adds to a growing list of Japanese buyers from Sakhalin-2 that say they will not face issues as a result of Gazprombank sanctions.
