LNG: LNG at Sea at Least 20 Days Rises 8.1%

The total estimated quantity of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 20 days increased by 8.1% last week to 4.04m tons as of July 21, according to Bloomberg estimates.

  • Volumes at sea remain well above the normal seasonal range but are below a peak of nearly 5m tons in late June. The five-year seasonal average volume is around 2.12m tons.
  • The estimated volume of LNG on tankers that have not unloaded for at least 30 days has also risen on the week to 1.75m tons compared to 1.45m tons a week earlier.
