A generally pretty quiet start to the Asia-Pac session leaves us with GBP retaining its slightly defensive feel, stemming from a growing worry about a potential no-deal Brexit. USD and JPY have edged higher, but rather reluctantly, as e-minis have pared their initial gains, although CHF trades a tad weaker. AUD has held up well ahead of the release of a domestic business sentiment gauge. All in all, G10 crosses have stuck to very tight ranges, with little to rock the boat in the headline/data flow.

  • On the radar today we have Australian NAB Business Confidence, Japanese Eco Watchers Survey, final EZ GDP & employment, German trade balance and Norwegian GDP.
