Lower House Approves Health Reform, To Be Debated By Senate

  • The Lower House have approved the government-promoted health care, which seeks to limit the role of the private sector, eliminating the current functions of health insurers. There remains a long passage for the reform to be enacted as the bill still needs to be approved in two debates in the Senate which is required to take place sometime before mid-2024. Following this, the bill will be evaluated by the Constitutional Court
  • Separately, Public Credit director, José Roberto Acosta, said via social media, that in November Colombia received 1.5 trillion pesos (US$375 million) of net portfolio investment flows.
