    • Magahsule was confident yesterday, despite some supporters asking him to withdraw his case. Says he will prove this is a political witch hunt.
    • Magahsule has also asked that his unilateral suspension of Ramaphosa be declared valid. Ramaphosa described Magashule's actions in taking the ANC to court as "unprecedented."
  • Gauteng hospitals seen buckling under the pressure of the third wave as beds fill up and oxygen shortages become more acute.
    • Medical personnel have said this wave is more aggressive than the last with the hospitals now being overrun and people waiting outside or being turned away
  • National Coronavirus council to make an announcement today in Johannesburg with many speculating about a move to level 5 lockdown as the situation deteriorates sharply.
    • Cases have now jumped to 17,493 with deaths increasing due to hospitals being overrun
