- Construction spending is expected to be flat in March based on the Bloomberg
consensus and rise by 0.2% based on an MNI survey of analysts. This follows very
sharp gains in the previous two months that were led by public construction
increases that will not be repeated.
- While home remodeling may continue to advance, new residential building is
likely to disappoint again.
- Private nonresidential building is expected to rebound modestly.
