US DATA
US DATA: March Personal Income and PCE Preview - 08:30 EDT/13:30 BST
---------------------------------------------------------------
- Personal income is expected to rise by 0.4% based on both the Bloomberg
consensus and MNI survey following a 0.2% gain in February. Stronger payrolls
growth and a longer workweek should offset a milder hourly earnings gain.
- Nominal PCE is expected to rise by 0.3% by both BBG and MNI, as the retail
sales data, including the control group, were overwhelmingly strong.
- The core price index is expected to rise by a modest 0.1%, which could result
in a pullback in the year/year rate to 1.7% at a time when the FOMC is concerned
about inflation growth being too soft.
