Mauritania/Senegal LNG Exports on for End of Year Target

Mauritania/Senegal is on track to begin LNG exports by the end of this year as BP's floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel departs for the Gulf of Guinea from Qidong, China according to ship tracking data from Refintiv.

  • The project will have a capacity of over 2.3 million tonnes of LNG. It will be the third FLNG project in Africa to come on onstream following existing operational FLNG projects in Cameroon and Mozambique.
  • BP will have the entire offtake from the project for 20 years.
