CANADA DATA: May trade balance was in surplus for the second time since 
December 2016. Trade surplus of C$0.76B vs expected C$1.65B deficit. 
Exports surged +4.6% to record high of C$53.1B while imports rose 
+1.0% MoM. Exports of autos and parts rose +12.4% after resuming from 
irregular factory shutdowns. Energy exports gained +5.0% in May; crude 
was up +2.8% on higher prices, the fifth consecutive increase. In volume 
terms, exports +4.0% and imports +1.2% MoM. Trade balance with the 
United States widened to C$5.9B, the largest surplus since October 2008. 
YoY exports +8.6% vs imports +1.1%.
