Median Poll Puts ANO's Support At 31%, CNB Enters Blackout Period

  • The latest Median opinion poll showed that the main opposition ANO party maintained its dominant position on the Czech political scene, but its advantage over ruling coalition parties was smaller than in the recent Kantar poll. According to the Median survey, if a parliamentary election was held today, ANO would win with 31% of the vote, while Prime Minister Petr Fiala's ODS would come second with 12.5%, followed by the Pirate Party with 11.0%. The current governing coalition would secure 97/200 seats in the lower house, failing to keep its parliamentary majority, just.
  • Czechia's National Security Adviser Tomas Pojar said that the first deliveries of ammunition purchased under the Czech-led plan should arrive in Ukraine in June at the latest. The prospect of the imminent arrival of new artillery shells may affect the situation on the battlefield even earlier by reducing the need to conserve ammunition.
