Middle East Refinery Maintenance to Peak at 980k bpd October

Peak refinery maintenance in the Middle East will reduce capacity by ~980k bpd in October according to FGE.

  • Over 50% of that reduction in capacity will come from the Satorp, Samref, and Yanbu refineries in Saudi Arabia. They supply 30% of the region’s gasoline supplies.
  • Saudi’s Ras Tanura’s 225 kbpd condensate splitter will be taken offline in December.
  • Middle East gasoline structure will flip to a 70kbd deficit next month according to FGE, likely resulting in higher demand from countries like India.
