MIDEAST: Tasnim-Houthis In Possession Of Ghadr Ballistic Missiles

The IRGC-linked Tasnim News Agency has reported that Iran has provided the Houthi rebels in Yemen with its latest Ghadr sea-launched ballistic missiles. Tasnim reports that "the missile that was once able to keep the Americans away from Iran's shores has turned into a weapon that [poses] serious challenges to the interests of the United States and its main ally in the region [Israel]."

  • The confirmation that the Houthis are in posession of the latest Iranian tech comes amid further strikes on commercial shipping in the Red Sea area. Bloomberg reports that a ship was hit twice in a day, sustaining damage but able to continue to its next port. The continuation of such attacks is likely to maintain many shippers current routes around the Cape of Good Hope, pushing up both costs and delivery timelines.
