AUSSIE 3-YR TECHS: (U17) Bear Chanel Top Capping For Now
*RES 4: 98.061 - 200-DMA
*RES 3: 98.032 - 55-DMA
*RES 2: 98.030 - High Sept 4
*RES 1: 98.023 - Daily Bear channel top
*PRICE: 98.020 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.960 - Low Sept 5
*SUP 2: 97.930 - Low Aug 31
*SUP 3: 97.900 - Low July 21
*SUP 4: 97.869 - 200-WMA
*COMMENTARY: The lack of follow through on last week's break of 97.940 sees
support emerging on dips and pressure back on the bear channel top and layers of
resistance 98.023-130. Bulls need a close above the 55-DMA to gain breathing
room and above the 200-DMA to confirm immediate focus on 98.090-130. Initial
support is noted at 97.960 with bears needing a close below to retain focus on
97.860-930.
AUSSIE 10-YR TECHS: (U17) 97.4200-4450 Resistance Region Key
*RES 4: 97.4450 - High June 30
*RES 3: 97.4250 - High Aug 18
*RES 2: 97.4200 - High Aug 29
*RES 1: 97.3969 - Daily Bear channel top
*PRICE: 97.3700 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 97.3100 - Hourly resistance Aug 30 now support
*SUP 2: 97.3038 - Bollinger band base
*SUP 3: 97.2500 - Low July 27
*SUP 4: 97.2100 - Monthly Low July 20
*COMMENTARY: Having supported for most of August, bears failed to capitalise on
the break of the 97.3150 support and 200-DMA (97.3167) with the Bollinger base
limiting follow through. Narrowing Bollinger bands continue to suggest a
breakout. Layers of resistance remain with bulls needing a close above 97.4450
to end bearish hopes and shift focus to 97.6100-6750. Bears need close below
97.3100 to return pressure to 97.2500.
US 10-YR FUTURE TECHS: (Z17) Above 127-170 Targets 127-270/128-220
*RES 4: 128-220 - Low Oct 28 now resistance
*RES 3: 127-270 - High Nov 10
*RES 2: 127-170 - Daily Bull channel top
*RES 1: 127-150 - High Sept 5, 100-WMA
*PRICE: 127-130 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 127-070 - High Sept 1 now support
*SUP 2: 126-300 - High Sept 4 now support
*SUP 3: 126-240 - Low Sept 5
*SUP 4: 126-190 - Low Sept 1
*COMMENTARY: Support emerging on a dip back towards the key 126-190 support
Tuesday resulted in a rally and bullish close that sees immediate pressure on
the 100-WMA and daily bull channel top. The Bollinger top (127-080) is the key
concern for bulls with potential to limit follow through. bears now need a close
below 127-070 to gain breathing room and below 126-300 to shift focus back to
126-190.
US 10-YR YIELD TECHS: Pressuring 100-WMA
*RES 4: 2.166 - Hourly resistance Aug 31
*RES 3: 2.148 - High Sept 5
*RES 2: 2.115 - Hourly resistance Sept 5a
*RES 1: 2.093 - Hourly resistance Sept 5
*PRICE: 2.063 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 2.060 - 2017 Low Sept 5
*SUP 2: 2.054 - 100-WMA
*SUP 3: 1.991 - Low Nov 10
*SUP 4: 1.879 - High Nov 1 now support
*COMMENTARY: The topside failure ahead of 2.180 has resulted in a sell-off and
fresh 2017 & 10mth lows that see immediate pressure on the 100-WMA. Bears look
for a close below the 100-WMA to add weight to the case for a test of
1.879-1.991. The Bollinger base (2.089) and modestly O/S studies are concerns
for bears. In saying that, bulls now need a close above 2.115 to gain breathing
room and above 2.180 to shift initial focus back to 2.206-2.229.
JGB TECHS: (U17) Bears Need Close Below 151.01
*RES 4: 151.51 - Bollinger band top
*RES 3: 151.35 - 2017 High Aug 29
*RES 2: 151.32 - High Sept 1
*RES 1: 151.25 - High Sept 5
*PRICE: 151.24 @ 2130GMT
*SUP 1: 151.10 - Low Sept 5
*SUP 2: 151.01 - High Aug 24 now support
*SUP 3: 150.95 - Alternating hourly support/resistance
*SUP 4: 150.85 - 21-DMA
*COMMENTARY: Support emerging on dips back towards 151.01 provide bulls hope and
retains focus on the 151.35 resistance. Bulls need a close above this level to
confirm focus on 151.58-152.04 where Nov highs are noted. The 151.01 support
remains key. bears need a close below this level to shift initial focus back to
150.66-85 where the 21-DMA is situated. Very O/B studies looking to correct are
the key concern for bulls.
