AUSSIE 3-YR TECHS: (Z17) Bear Channel Top Caps
*RES 4: 97.937 - 55-DMA
*RES 3: 97.935 - Hourly resistance Sept 14
*RES 2: 97.904 - Bollinger band top
*RES 1: 97.902 - Daily Bear channel top
*PRICE: 97.870 @ 2030GMT
*SUP 1: 97.860 - Low Oct 17
*SUP 2: 97.840 - 21-DMA
*SUP 3: 97.820 - Low Oct 6
*SUP 4: 97.780 - Low Sept 28 & Oct 2
*COMMENTARY: The daily bear channel top is currently capping with the 97.900-950
region now key. Bulls need a close above 97.950 to confirm a break of the 55-DMA
and shift focus to 98.011-050 where 100 & 200-DMAs are situated. The 97.860
support is key today with bears needing a close below to ease pressure on
resistance layers. Overall bears need a close below 97.820 to shift focus back
to 97.720 2017 lows.
AUSSIE 10-YR TECHS: (Z17) Capped Ahead Of 55-DMA
*RES 4: 97.3166 - 200-DMA
*RES 3: 97.2741 - 55-DMA
*RES 2: 97.2500 - High Oct 18
*RES 1: 97.2400 - Hourly support Oct 18 now resistance
*PRICE: 97.2150 @ 2030GMT
*SUP 1: 97.1850 - Low Oct 17
*SUP 2: 97.1688 - 21-DMA
*SUP 3: 97.1650 - Low Oct 13
*SUP 4: 97.1450 - Hourly support Oct 12
*COMMENTARY: Pressure on 97.2300 resulted in a break higher only to be rejected
ahead of the 55-DMA and seeing focus now back on 97.1650-1850 supports. Bears
need a close below 97.1650 to see bears regain the upper hand and immediate
focus return to 97.0600-0900. Bulls now need a close above the 55-DMA to
pressure layers of resistance 97.2741-3490 where 100 & 200-DMAs and the bear
channel top remain.
US 10-YR FUTURE TECHS: (Z17) Below 124-310 Targets 124-140/225
*RES 4: 125-29+ 100-DMA
*RES 3: 125-25+ High Oct 13
*RES 2: 125-16+ Hourly support Oct 16 now resistance
*RES 1: 125-10 Alternating hourly support/resistance
*PRICE: 125-04 @ 2030GMT
*SUP 1: 125-01+ Low Oct 17
*SUP 2: 124-31 Hourly support Oct 9
*SUP 3: 124-28 Bollinger band base
*SUP 4: 124-22+ Low Oct 6
*COMMENTARY: The failure to trouble 100 & 55-DMAs has left the contract looking
heavy with bears now looking for a close below 124-31 to confirm focus on
124-14/22+ where July lows are situated. Layers of resistance are following the
contract lower and weighing with daily studies well placed for losses. Bulls
need a close above 125-16+ to ease bearish pressure and return focus to
125-25+/126-09 where 55 & 100-DMAs are situated.
US 10-YR YIELD TECHS: Focus Returns To 2.371-437
*RES 4: 2.423 - Monthly High Aug May 11
*RES 3: 2.402 - High Oct 6
*RES 2: 2.372 - Hourly resistance Oct 6
*RES 1: 2.355 - Hourly resistance Oct 11
*PRICE: 2.343 @ 2030GMT
*SUP 1: 2.325 - Hourly support Oct 18
*SUP 2: 2.296 - Low Oct 17
*SUP 3: 2.278 - Low Oct 16
*SUP 4: 2.245 - High Sept 26 now support
*COMMENTARY: The lack of follow through on Friday's close below 21 (2.305) & 200
(2.322) DMAs has resulted in higher daily lows with pressure resulting in a
close above 2.334 with focus now having returned to the 2.372-437 region. Above
2.437 remains needed to shift initial focus to 2.544-558 and overall focus to
2017 highs (2.628). Bears now look for a close below 2.325 to gain breathing
room and below 2.278 to shift focus back to 2.208-245.
JGB TECHS: (Z17) Focus Back on 150.06-08
*RES 4: 150.52 - 100-DMA
*RES 3: 150.48 - Alternating hourly support/resistance
*RES 2: 150.41 - High Oct 18
*RES 1: 150.34 - Hourly resistance Oct 18
*PRICE: 150.27 @ 2030GMT
*SUP 1: 150.18 - Hourly support Oct 3
*SUP 2: 150.08 - Low Oct 3
*SUP 3: 150.06 - Low July 20, Bollinger band base
*SUP 4: 149.92 - Low July 14
*COMMENTARY: Hesitation ahead of the 150.46-52 region where key DMAs are tightly
clustered has taken its toll with the contract looking heavy and the break of
150.28 shifting immediate focus to 150.06-08. A close below is then needed to
target 149.65 July lows. Bulls continue to look for a close above the 100-DMA to
ease bearish pressure and above the 55-DMA (150.68) to end bearish hopes and
shift focus to 150.96-151.01.
