MNI: BOJ Kuroda: Wants Board Meet Soon To Push Lending Plan

MNI (London)
TOKYO (MNI) - Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said Thursday that the
central bank wants to unleash a new lending facility to support financing to
smaller firms as quickly as possible and he would like to call a inter-meet
gathering of the board to push it through.
Kuroda told lawmakers that the BOJ wants to compile the new lending
measures as quickly as possible to back up the government's economic stimulus
measures.
The BOJ on Monday decided to boost its easy policy, not only to boost
lending but to also maintain financial market stability.
With the next meeting scheduled for June 15/16, swift action will need the
earlier sign off from the board.
