MNI BRIEF: Bank Of Korea Raises Policy Rate to 1.50%

TOKYO (MNI)

The 1.50% rate is the highest level since August 2019 and the first since January, reflecting that the BOK is more worried about high consumer prices than slower economic growth, see: MNI STATE OF PLAY: Bank Of Korea Cautious Even As Prices Bite.
