MNI BRIEF: BOJ's April Real Export Index Down 6.0% On Month

The Bank of Japan’s real export index calculated based on the Ministry of Finance trade data fell 6.0% m/m in April for the first drop in three months, see: MNI BRIEF: Japan April Exports Gain As Auto Shipments Recover.

The April real export index fell 5.2%, compared with the average for the first quarter. The figures were calculated by MNI based on BOJ data and confirmed. The full April real export index data is due on 24 May.
