MNI BRIEF: BOJ Gov Nominee Ueda To Review Policy Slowly

Bank of Japan governor nominee Kazuo Ueda said on Monday that he would like to take the time to examine monetary policy slowly but added that policymakers will examine policy effects at every policy setting meeting.

Ueda told lawmakers that he plans to reduce the time that each member refers to their own economic and price views, and plans to increase the time that board members debate economic and price views.
