MNI BRIEF: BOJ Kamiyama Appointed Osaka Branch Head

(MNI) TOKYO

The Bank of Japan has promoted Kazushige Kamiyama, director-general of the international department, to the Osaka branch manager and one of the six executive directors, the BOJ revealed Monday.

Kamiyama replaced Takeshi Nakajima, while Seiichi Shimizu, the executive directors in charge of monetary policy, replaced Tokiko Shimizu, the executive director in charge of internal affairs as her four-year term ended on Friday.

Takeshi Kato, executive director in charge of the Secretariat of the Policy Board and Information System Services Department, also replaced Seiichi Shimizu.
