MNI BRIEF: BOJ New Member Nakagawa To Meet Press at 0800GMT

The Bank of Japan's new board member Junko Nakagawa will hold a news conference at 1700JST (0800 GMT) Wednesday, after taking office earlier in the day, the central bank said. Nakagawa, a former CEO of Nomura Asset Management, replaced Takako Masai, after her five-year term ended on Tuesday.

Nakagawa's view on monetary policy is unknown at present, but she is expected to support the position of Governor Haruhiko Kuroda.
