MNI (BRASILIA) - Brazil is not experiencing fiscal dominance, central bank governor Roberto Campos Neto said on Monday, but he emphasized that addressing the budget issue is crucial for sustaining structurally lower interest rates.

"Brazil's history clearly shows that if we are unable to establish a fiscal framework that generates credibility among financial agents, we will not be able to sustain a structurally lower interest rate. This is evident in our recent history," Campos Neto said at an event sponsored by Consulting House in Sao Paulo.
