MNI Brief: China Third Plenum To Deepen Reforms
Authorities will deepen reforms to support China's economy at the upcoming third plenum, Huang Hanquan, president of the Chinese Academy of Macroeconomic Research said on Thursday.
Speaking at a forum in Beijing, Huang said the government was determined to achieve this years' economic targets.
In H2, the economy will show an upward trend driven by ultra long term bonds, the upgrading of equipment, and efforts to promote new productive forces, Huang added.
On new energy exports, Huang said countries should respect international division of labour and resist protectionism.
Cost competitiveness and strong global demand will continue to drive growth among China’s green-technology exports, while trade tensions will accelerate the sector’s continued globalisation, a Chinese industrial policy advisor has told MNI.
