MNI BRIEF: China To Monitor Omicron Impact On Supply Chain

China will continue to closely monitor changes in the global pandemic situation, study the impact on the country’s foreign trade and supply chain in a timely manner, said Shu Jueting, spokeswoman of the Ministry of Commerce at a briefing on Thursday.

China will study policy measures to deal with possible problems faced by exporters and importers, said Shu, when asked if the new Covid-19 variant Omicron would challenge the global supply chain and affect China’s trade.

The recovery of the world economy is still facing uncertainty with the resurgence of pandemic, she added.
