MNI BRIEF: Corporate Tax Talk To Dominate G20

BRUSSELS (MNI)

Talks on a minimum corporate tax rate and levels of taxation across the digital economy will be front and centre as G20 finance ministers are central bankers gather for a virtual meet Wednesday and they look for U.S. Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen to expand on her recent thinking on the issue.

EU sources tell MNI that the communique will likely 'welcome' ongoing negotiations at OECD as policymakers 'look to find a solution to the challenges of the digital economy and increase and renew efforts to reach a solution by the middle of the year.'
