MNI BRIEF: ECB To Pause APP, PEPP Reinvestments Over Xmas

(MNI) LONDON

The European Central Bank will temporarily stop reinvestments from APP and PEPP from Tuesday, 20 December 2022 to Monday, 2 January 2023. Wednesday's announcement follows previous practice, and comes in anticipation of significantly lower market liquidity towards the end of the year.

The ECB's securities lending facilities will remain in operation on all business days throughout December. Lists of securities held under the APP and PEPP will not be updated on Tuesday, 27 December 2022 or Tuesday, 3 January 2023.
