Market nerves over the potential outcome of French Parliamentary elections comes possible fiscal policy risk, European Central Bank Vice President Luis de Guindos said Monday, adding that regardless of the vote outcome, the issue will be addressed by the new European fiscal rules.
“We will have the new adjustment programmes in September and from that the new European Commission will present the adjustment path”, de Guindos said in an event in Santander.
Bond yields spreads widened after the election announcements have been “relatively ordered and with liquidity” and without special intensity, he added.
