MNI BRIEF: IFO Poll Points To Slower Recovery

The global economy is expected to contract 4.4% in 2020 and only part-recover next year, according to a poll of 950 worldwide economists by Germany's ifo Institute. They point to a bounce of 3.2% in 2021, with most countries only recovering the ground lost by 2022.

Those surveyed expressed differing outlooks on how long the recovery will take, although the majority expect a full GDP bounceback by 2022..
