TOKYO (MNI)

Tokyo core inflation rose 0.3% y/y in November, led by higher energy prices for the third straight gain, data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications showed on Friday.

Core-core CPI, which excludes fresh food and energy and is a key indicator in the underlying inflation trend, fell 0.3% y/y in November. Prices for energy items rose 13.9% y/y in November.
