MNI BRIEF: NDRC Considering Trade-in Scheme Next Steps

MNI (BEIJING) - China’s central planning agency is studying ways to strengthen support for its equipment upgrading and consumer goods trade-in scheme, and will publicly release details once procedures are completed, Li Chao, deputy director and spokesperson of the National Development and Reform Commission said on Tuesday.

Li reminded reporters the Commission has promoted CNY300 billion super-long-term special government bond funds for the scheme this year, and highlighted October sales of household appliances and audio-visual equipment increased by nearly 40% y/y.
