Bank of Japan board member Junko Nakagawa said on Thursday that Japan has made steady progress toward the achievement of the bank’s 2% price target as corporate wage-setting behaviour changes.

Nakagawa told business leaders in Otsu City, should the Bank judge the 2% price target achievable, it will contemplate adjusting its easy policy settings, "while keeping its impact on financial markets and unconventional monetary policy in mind."
