MNI BRIEF: UK OBR Forecasts, Gilt Remit Set for Nov 25

(MNI) LONDON
LONDON (MNI)

The Office for Budget Responsibility is set to issue its updated economic and fiscal projections on November 25, Chancellor of the Exchequer Rishi Sunak said Wednesday.

The forecasts will contain the updated borrowing forecasts that will be factored into the new gilt remit. The timing of the Debt Management Office's 2020-21 financing remit is determined by the publication of the OBR's economic and fiscal forecast, with the central government net cash requirement projections a key component in determining gilt issuance. The Chancellor said the latest spending review would be published the same day.
