     LONDON (MNI) - The US remains in shutdown and a general very quiet start to
the week means the three key releases Monday are December Germany producer
prices at 0700GMT, November Spain industrial orders at 0800GMT and EU Q3
government debt and deficit readings.
     In terms central bank comments, there is only one event worth noting. This
is a Eurogroup meeting in Brussels which will see ECB President Mario Draghi and
ECB Executive Board member Benoit Coeure participate, although there is unlikely
to be any published text.
     Germany's producer prices grew by 3.3% y/y and 0.1% m/m in November.
     Industrial orders in Spain grew by 5.8% y/y in October.
     In Q2, the Euro Area's government debt was 86.3% of GDP. The government
deficit in Q2 was 0.1% of GDP.
