MNI GLOBAL MORNING BRIEFING: BOE At The TSC

(MNI) LONDON

Monday throws up a quiet data calendar across the board, with largely second tier data on offer on both sides of the Atlantic.

Early European data sees the release of the Swedish inflation data at 0830 GMT, with the annual CPIF rate, closely watched by the Riksbank, seen having edged higher to 2.7% in October.

The latest EU trade data will be released at 1000GMT, with analysts looking for an increase in the overall balance to EUR 11.5 billion in September from EUR11.1 billion on August.

The main US release is the Empire State manufacturing index at 1330GMT

There are plenty of policymakers slated to speak Monday. The main appearance will be BOE governor Andrew Bailey, along with chief economist Huw Pill and MPC members Catherine Mann and Michael Saunders, at the Treasury Select Committee. ECB President Christine Lagarde and VP Luis de Guindos are also slated to speak.
