MNI BRIEF: IMF Ups Japan 2021 GDP Growth Forecast To 3.3%

TOKYO (MNI)

The International Monetary Fund upped its forecast for Japan's GDP growth in 2021 to 3.3% from the 3.1% made in January, also raising its 2022 growth forecast to +2.5%, according to the World Economic Outlook published Tuesday.

The global economy is projected to grow 6.0% in 2021 and 4.4% in 2022, both revised up from +5.5% and 4.2% made in January, the IMF said.
