MNI POLICY: Kuroda: BOJ Won't Hesitate To Conduct All Tools

MNI (London)
TOKYO (MNI) - Bank of Japan Governor Haruhiko Kuroda said Thursday that the
BOJ will implement all possible measures to support firms and households,
without hesitation if needed.
"The BOJ and the government have been implementing various measures to
protect employees, firms and people. Banks' loans are rising (from a year
earlier) and the measures are exercising (intended effects)," told lawmakers
Thursday.
"Amid high uncertainties, we will implement all possible measures without
hesitation," Kuroda said, without elaborating what kind of measures and when the
BOJ would implement.
The BOJ's two-day policy-setting meeting is scheduled for June 15/16 with
the central bank expected to stand pat on monetary policy as it examines the
impact of the measures on corporate financing.
