MNI RBNZ Revises Day, Time For MonPol Announcement From 2019

     SYDNEY (MNI) - The Reserve Bank of New Zealand has revised the day and the
time of announcement of its monetary policy decisions to Wednesday from
Thursday, and to 1400 hours from 0900 hours currently.
     The changes are effective 2019 which means the schedule for 2018 remains
unchanged.
     In a statement, the RBNZ said the monetary policy decision will be
announced on the Wednesday and will take effect on Thursday.
     "This change helps position the Reserve Bank for the upcoming shift to a
decision-making committee structure," the RBNZ said.
     Media conference following the release of the quarterly Monetary Policy
Statement will take place at 1500 hours, one hour following the announcement.
     The RBNZ has retained the 0900 hours time for publishing the six-monthly
Financial Stability Report. Media conference after the FSR will also continue to
take place at 1100 hours, two hours after the publication.
