- UK's Consumer Confidence rose slightly in July with improvements across most

measures. The GFK Consumer Confidence Index rose to -11 in July from -13 in June

and -10 in July 2018.

- More consumers felt it was the right time to make big purchases. The index

rose 6 points to +4, an improvement from July 2018(-2).

- Personal Financial Situation during the last 12 months increased to +1 from -1

in June.

- Personal Finances over the next 12 months increased significantly to +7 from

+2 in June.

- Expectations for the general economic situation over the next 12 months rose

slightly to -32; this is six points lower than July 2018.
