  • The prospect of a Xi-Biden meeting has taken on renewed importance with the confirmation earlier today that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not be in attendance at the summit. Will be an opportunity for Biden (and potentially other western leaders) to meet with Xi in quick succession without Russian leader present as they seek to dissuade China from forming deeper strategic links w/Russia.
