Muted Start In G-10 FX On Tuesday

Moves have been limited with little follow through in FX on Tuesday morning, BBDXY is unchanged. Liquidity will be impacted today in Asia-Pac due to the observance of a national holiday in Japan.

  • AUD/USD prints at $0.6710/15, ~0.1% softer than yesterday's closing levels however narrow ranges have been observed thus far.
  • Kiwi is a touch softer, NZD/USD prints at $0.6235/40. AUD/NZD is consolidating yesterday's gains and deals at $1.0750/55.
  • Yen unchanged from yesterday's closing levels. From a technical standpoint ¥132.65, yesterday's high is the first resistance point. ¥130.54 March 20 low provides support.
  • Cross asset wise; BBDXY is little changed as are e-minis. 10 Year US Treasury futures are a touch firmer.
  • RBA Minutes of the March meeting provide the highlight in Asia-Pac, this is due in just over 30 minutes. Further out the German ZEW Survey and Canada CPI provide the highlights.
