NATGAS: Henry Hub Loses Ground

Henry Hub has fallen by over 1% on the day, retreating sharply from its intraday high of $2.374/MMBtu at 08:14 ET (13:14 BST). Pressure comes from milder than expected temperatures. This is despite a slow ramp up of production after Hurricane Francine.
- US Natgas OCT 24 down 1.7% at 2.28$/mmbtu
- US Natgas MAR 25 down 0% at 2.91$/mmbtu
- Reuters has revised down its cooling degree day (CDD) estimate for the next two weeks by 2 CDD to 132 CDD. The seasonal normal is 91 CDD.
- US domestic natural gas production was down on the day to 99.8bcf/d yesterday, according to Bloomberg, compared to an average of 101.9bcf/d in the first week of September.
- Feedgas flows to US LNG export terminals are down on the day to 12.69bcf/d today driven by below normal flows to Corpus Christi, according to BNEF.
- Domestic natural gas demand remains relatively stable at 72.4bcf/d, according to Bloomberg, and still above the seasonal normal of around 65.5bcf/d.
- Export flows to Mexico are today estimated up again on the day to 7.0bcf/d, according to Bloomberg.
