NATGAS: Iran in Gas Supply Talks with Turkey's Botas

Turkeys Botas said on Wednesday it had held talks with Iran’s NIGC for the long-term supply of natural gas from Iran to Turkey according to a statement.

  • Long-term contracts for Iranian gas supply to Turkey, (Around 10 billion cubic metres of gas per year) expire in 2026.
  • Botas has been signing a number of supply deals recently, such as a 10-year one with Frances TotalEnergies as it sets itself up as a regional gas hub.
  • It comes in addition to earlier LNG deals with Oman, ExxonMobil and Shell.
