Net Asset Purchases Slow Sharply In Holiday Week

ECB

ECB asset purchases slowed sharply in the holiday-shortened week ending April 2, with a net E6.2bn assets added, the slowest since the New Year holiday. PEPP net purchases of E10.6bn were the slowest since the first week of 2021, while PSPP assets contracted on net for the first time since the same week. Little to conclude from these figures given that it comes amid a holiday week, and amid quarter-end adjustments.
