CHINA: New corporate issuance of enterprise bonds, medium-term notes, short-term
commercial paper and other debt has hit CNY666 billion so far this month, with
net fund-raising volume totaling CNY176.92 billion, the highest levels since
December, according to Wind, a Shanghai-based financial data provider. The value
of cancelled bond issuance fell to CNY22.97 billion, dropping for the third
month in a row. Only two bond defaults have occurred so far during the month, a
low for the year.
