New Fortress Energy's New LNG Facility Eyes Mid-2023 Start Up

New Fortress Energy’s “Fast LNG” facility with a capacity of 7mn t/yr is earmarked to start production by mid-2023, the company said in the Q3 earnings call.

  • The new facility is located in the Gulf of Mexico and will add around 7mn t/yr of liquefaction capacity over the next two years.
  • The Fast LNG terminal will have a capacity of exporting approximately 145 billion cubic feet of natural gas per year, equivalent to around 2.8mtpa of LNG.
  • Another four offshore facilities are planned to be completed by mid-2024.
