Nigeria LNG Cargo to Portugal Delayed

Nigeria LNG has delayed an LNG cargo to Portugal at the end of this month, the first to be impacted by flooding disruptions.

  • Nigeria LNG announced a force majeure last week as a pre-emptive measure to the recent flooding damage but had so far avoided any cargo delays.
  • Nigeria LNG is the biggest supplier of LNG to Portugal’s Galp. Irregular supply form the west African supplier this year has forced Galp onto the spot market where they have faced soaring prices.
