Nigerian Crude Exports Remain Weak in September

Nigerian crude exports totalled 1.1mbd in September 2022 according to Vortexa, close to a very weak Q3 2022 average of around 1mbd.

  • Nigerian crude exports have been hit by repairs at major export terminals, the Trans-Niger piepeline has been halted because of thefts and lower Nigerian production because of underinvestment.
  • Nigeria’s onshore crude inventories are up by nearly 3mb since August 2022 to a two year high of 10.5mb (as of 1 October 2022).
