US: NIH's Fauci told the Washington Post in an interview last night that health
officials are looking at a new approach to COVID testing, by testing groups of
people together, rather than testing individuals. It would work like this: take
samples from many people, combine them into a single pool, and test that pool.
If it comes back negative, move on to the next pool. If positive, then each
individual in the pool can be tested.
- "Something's not working," Fauci told the Washington Post of the current
testing regime. "I mean, you can do all the diagramming you want, but something
is not working."
