FT's Jim Pickard tweets, "Number 10 tells me it's "utter nonsense" that Johnson will stand down in six months."

  • This follows a Times story in which a reader tells writer Patrick Kidd that they met Sir Humphrey Wakefield, the father-in-law of chief adviser to the PM Dominic Cummings, while on holiday. Wakefield is alleged to have said that Johnson's health has still not recovered from his severe bout of COVID-19 earlier in the year and that he would stand down from office in six months time.
